Today's Athletic Events Scheduled:
SOV Football hosts Shelbyville High School as a part of Okaw Valley Homecoming and "Real Men Wear Pink" night beginning at 7:00 PM at Victory Field.
Saturday September 9th Events:
SMS Baseball is at Cumberland Middle School for two games beginning at 10:00 AM. The games will be played at Haughton Park in Greenup.
SHS Cross Country is at the Shelbyville Invitational beginning at 10:30 AM.
Results From Yesterday:
From SHS Golf: The SHS Boys golf team competed in a quad match against Okaw Valley, Shelbyville and Meridian which was our Senior Night! We improved to 11-0 on the season with a score of 169. Okaw Valley had a 170, Shelbyville 201 and Meridian 206. Leighton Burcham was medalist with a 39. Caden Ellis shot a 40, Aiden Short 41, Tim Lawyer 49 and Drew Rogers 49. The three seniors that competed were Gavin Sullivan 55, Ethan Neville 60 and Cameron Harner 57.
From SMS Baseball: The SMS Boys Baseball team defeated Neoga last night by a score of 12-4. They will conclude their regular season on Saturday playing Cumberland Middle School in two games beginning at 10:00 AM.
From SOV Freshmen Football: The SOV freshmen football team was defeated last night by Shelbyville 46-0. Their record is now 0-1 on the season. They will resume action next Thursday hosting Warrensburg-Latham at 6:00 at Victory Field.
Other Announcements:
From Tuesday September 5th through Friday September 8th, "Real Men Wear Pink" t-shirts will be available for purchase until sold out at Sullivan High School leading up to our "Real Men Wear Pink" home football game on Friday September 8th against Shelbyville High School. T-shirts will be on sale for $10.00. Cash or checks will be accepted as forms of payment. If paying by check, please make the check out to HSHS St. Mary's Hospital Foundation.
