Today's Athletic Events Scheduled:
SOV Varsity Football hosts St. Teresa tonight at 7:00 PM as a part of Senior Night. Fall sports senior athletes and their parents/guardians in football, football cheerleading, and golf need to meet Mr. Aikman at the south end of the track on Friday night October 13th at no later than 6:25. Senior night Introductions will then begin promptly at 6:30. Senior Cross country athletes, senior marching band and senior color guard members and their parents/guardians need to meet Mr. Aikman at the south end of the track at the beginning of halftime during the SOV football game where senior night introductions will then occur after the marching band concludes their halftime performance.
Caden Ellis competes in the IHSA State Golf Meet at Prairie Vista Golf Course in Bloomington.
Results From Last Night:
From SHS Cross Country: The SHS Cross Country team competed last night in the Central Illinois Conference cross country meet at Tuscola's Wimple Park. The boys team finished in fourth place with a combined team score of 84 and the girls team did not have a team score. Sullivan did have four runners however earn All-Central Illinois Conference designation last night at the meet: Isaiah Plank and Logan Pedigo finished in 9th and 10th place overall in the boys meet and Katherine Kite and Laine Cameron finished in 8th and 10th place overall in the girls meet. Congratulations to those four runners on earning All-Conference honors!
From SHS Volleyball: The Lady Redskins traveled to Central A&M and were defeated: 25-11, 25-14. Laine Cameron earned 10 assists and 5 of those kills were earned by Zoe Ray. Maddie Dickens had a strong presence in the back court picking up multiple digs and service receive passes. The JV played a great first set but didn't come out with a win. Scores in the two matches were 23-25 and 13-25. Avery McGregor and Alexis Wallace each had 3 kills, and Jerra Goad and Zoe Walton had 2 kills each. Avery also had 3 aces for the night and Mallory Nichols had 2 aces. Carsyn Seeley and Alexis Wallace each added 1 block as well.
From SMS Girls Basketball: The 8th Grade Lady Redskins lost a heartbreaker last night to the #1 seeded Warrensburg-Latham, 29-28. The girls played hard all four quarters but came up short at the free throw line only making 4 of 16. It was a great team effort! Lilly Null lead us with 14 points, Skyla Palmer and Caprice Smith added 4 points, Morgan Moll ended with 3 points, Sammie Montague had 2 points and boxed out really well for us causing a couple important fouls down the stretch, and Katie Honchell ended with a free throw. The girls are now 4-5 on the season and 2-3 in conference. The 7th grade Lady Redskins lost to Warrensburg-Latham last night by a score of 42-5. Mia Kerley had 4 points for the Lady Redskins and Alaina Moore had one point.
Saturday October 14th Events:

SHS JV Volleyball competes in a tournament at Maroa-Forsyth High School beginning at 9:00 AM.
SHS Marching Band and Color Guard competes in the Effingham High School Marching Band Competition.
