Today's Athletic Events Scheduled:
SHS JV and Varsity Boys Basketball hosts Effingham St. Anthony at 6:00 in the SHS gym.
SMS Boys Basketball is at Central A&M at 6:00. The games will be played at Central A&M High School in Moweaqua.
Results From Last Night:
From SHS Girls Basketball: The Sullivan Lady Redskins lost to Pana last night by a score of 30-41. They played a great first half, but were outscored 24-6 in the second half. Elizabeth Green led in scoring with 8 points. Haley Rose had 7 points and Laine Cameron had 6 points. Esther Miller led the team in rebounding with 8.
The JV team also lost by a score of 24-28. They were led in scoring by Avery Still who had 14 points. She also led in rebounding with 10.
From SMS Boys Basketball: The 8th grade boys basketball team lost last night to Monticello 47-17. We are now 2-6 for the season. Ryan Villalobos, Dakota Freese, Addison Owens, Aaron Stutzman and Alec Keller had 2 points apiece. Ben Bushue had 3 points and Zach Dalbey had 4 points. The 7th grade boys team lost by a score of 40-19 to Monticello as well.
From SMS Girls Basketball: The 8th Grade Lady Redskins ended their season last night with a 29-19 loss to ALAH. Although it was not the ending we had hoped for, the girls had a lot of season accomplishments, like taking 3rd place at Conference Tournament this year! This will be a great group of girls to follow as they move up to the High School level. Congratulations on a great season, Lady Redskins!
From SHS Scholastic Bowl: The SHS Scholastic bowl team hosted Clinton and Meridian last night. We defeated Clinton 140-50 and narrowly beat Meridian 200-190. We were led by Katie Webb on the varsity with 7 toss ups. Lindsay Jones and Spencer Johnson had 3 each. Gary Herschberger had 2 and Trevor Elder had 1.
The JV defeated Clinton 230-30 and lost to Meridian 160-250. Reagan Crouse led the JV on the night with 13 toss-ups. Shyanne Hunter had 2 and Maggie McLaughlin had 1.
Other Announcements:
Junior Class parents will meet on December 4th at the Sullivan First United Methodist Church at 7:00 for post prom planning.
