Lydia Cummings won her class a trip to the park at the PTO silent auction this year! Thank you Lydia and family and our amazing PTO for everything you do for us! ❤️🖤

Kenleigh Harshbarger was the winner of the PTO silent auction for ClassDojo points in Mrs. McCain's class. She couldn't wait to spend her points on new desk pets and accessories. Thank you PTO for all that you do.

For the past 6-weeks, students and staff at Sullivan Elementary School have participated in the SES Fitness Challenge. Today, the entire student body and staff wrapped up the challenge with the first annual "SES FUN RUN". Everyone had a FANTASTIC time! Thank you to Mrs. Leach and her fantastic team for the organization of the program and events. Thank you to the students and staff for such enthusiastic participation. Thank you to the Sullivan Police Department and the City of Sullivan for blocking off the fun run route around the lake at Wyman.

Thank you SES PTO for the Redskin Rowdie T-shirts for every student and staff member of SES. Now everyone has a shirt to wear on Friday Spirit Days!

Mrs. Becker's class loved our recent healthy kids lesson !

Mrs Becker's class wants to congratulate their student teacher: Mrs. Bothwell. She has taught their class this semester and graduates this weekend!

Zeke Walk won the PTO silent auction for choosing a movie for his class. He chose the movie UP. Thank you PTO and Zeke Walk!

Thanks to our local McDonald's, our entire SES was able to participate in McStudent Day. Students enjoyed a burger and a cookie! Several won some great prizes!

THANK YOU to Officer Chippy, Officer Houk, Mr. Houk (Round 2 Retrievers) and Dr. Florey (Kaskaskia Valley Animal Hospital) for speaking about tasks and trainings for K-9 dogs, the keen senses of dogs, the K-9 demonstration, and how to be safe around dogs you do not know.

Miss Basham's class spent some of their day at the local parks cleaning them up, making posters to put around the school and learning about ways to save the earth! 🌍🌳 They filled up 5 whole trashbags!

SES yearbooks are in ! There are more for sale if you didn't get a chance to order yet !

SES Parents...the west side parking lot, north entrance will be closed beginning Thursday evening and will not reopen until Monday. If you use the west parking lot for drop off in the mornings or afterschool pickup, you will have to ENTER AND EXIT through the south entrance. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please use extra caution when coming out of the west parking lot as the south opening is not a typical exit.

SES is proud of Amelia Melvin and Hazel Crothers. The students enjoyed seeing their fellow classmates in the show today. Great job ladies!

The 3rd grade team went to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum today in Springfield, IL! They learned so much and had a wonderful time. Here are some pictures from Mrs. McCain and Miss Basham's classes! Thank you to ALL of our wonderful chaperones and volunteers!

JUST A REMINDER...If you have a child who will be 5 on or before September 1, 2024, then please come to Kindergarten Orientation on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 6:00 PM in the elementary school gym. There will be a presentation of information and an optional tour of the Kindergarten classrooms. Please contact the SES office at 217-728-2321 if you have specific questions.
