On Thursday, August 24th, Sullivan High School hosted Christine Feller, an Internet Safety Specialist with the Illinois Attorney General's Office. She came to work with students on the issues they face while on-line.
Today’s youth have integrated the use of digital devices into their daily lives and utilize social media apps to communicate with the world around them. Technology integration that encourages social interaction and self-expression presents new opportunities for youth. However, it can present challenges for both parents and teachers when it disrupts your homes and/or school environment. These challenges typically arise in student behaviors and or relationships, surfacing in the forms of cyberbullying, online drama, sexting, attention seeking , and/ or oversharing personal information.
